Prune juice??!!

Tegan had a doctor appointment today with Dr. Tim, her pediatrician. She has gone from weighing 4lbs 7oz when she was born, to 10lbs 1oz at her visit today! She's getting so big! Overall, she's doing great. her only issue has still been all the gas and not being able to poop. We have been giving her a suppository every other day because she grunts and grunts but can't seem to get the job done.  Today, the doctor suggested giving her prune juice. Prune juice for babies?! So this afternoon we gave her 1 oz of prune juice mixed with 1 oz of water. She seemed to like it ok, sucked it right down. I was hoping for a blow out, strange I know.  Her belly is rather round  and I'm not sure if it's because she just has a big belly, or she's full of poop! Well at around 6:30p, she did it!! She pooped! I was getting ready to give her a bottle and I felt, and heard it in her diaper. Plus she scrunched her face up and turned red, something I fondly call her pooping face (except she's never actually been able to poop). And strangely enough, I was actually excited to look in her diaper and see what was there, LOL. Well.. I look to early cause she about shot me with poop, but missed me and got it all over her changing table. And of course I was home by myself at this time, plus she was screaming because she wanted to eat. Loads of fun. But most importantly she pooped all by herself! And then she did it again after her bath! So needless to say, I think the prune juice worked and we will be giving it to her more often. I don't think I've ever been so excited about someone pooping before (except myself when I was pregnant, TMI, I know). Prune juice = happy baby and mommy.
She also got her first immunization today, her DTP and rotavirus. Our doctor offers an alternative vaccination schedule, so she will have to go in once a month to get a shot. The regular immunization schedule would have had her getting 4 injections plus the oral. Which is craziness! To me at least! I would feel horrible watching her get 4 injections.
Lastly, the countdown had begun. Actually it began about 12 weeks ago. Only one more week till I go back to work... Not excited.. but I'll live. It will be nice to have my income back. Less stress, money wise on me and Dennis. And we can get caught back up on bills and re-fill our depleted savings. Thank god for grandparents.. we couldn't have survived without them.
Here's some new pictures of the Teg...

Resolutions

So I had my resolutions for this year picked out..

1)Save money to buy a house next year

2)Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight

and I was all ready to get the ball rolling yesterday (monday, was my chosen REAL day to start anew). I was going to start running and doing the Wii fit on alternating days, but Tegan decided against it. She started out fussy the night before and then decided to be on the boob for 4 hours on and off monday morning. I don't know how breast feeding can be so exhausting but 4 hours of it was. When she finally got to sleep in her little bouncy chair, I passed out in front of the fire on the floor. So needless to say, I didn't get much of what I wanted to get done yesterday, done. She fell asleep for her night time nap, which lately has been around 9 then she's up again to eat at Midnight. But last night she went down at around 9:30p and I actually had to wake her up at 3am to feed her because I was feeling like I was going to  explode. I think she would have slept longer if I hadn't of woken her up. So it was a nice reward to get some extra sleep after a day of fussiness. But I almost feel more tired after getting more sleep, it doesn't make sense!

So I'm going to try again today to get going on my fitness resolutions. Although the cold weather does not make me real motivated. I have to fit into my wedding dress!!
